Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Cheese Blend:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray and set aside.
2️⃣ Combine the dry ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
3️⃣ Add the cheeses:
Stir in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dry mixture.
4️⃣ Mix the wet ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth and well combined.
5️⃣ Combine wet and dry ingredients:
Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
6️⃣ Prepare the loaf:
Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it out into an even layer.
7️⃣ Bake:
Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with a few crumbs.
8️⃣ Cool the bread:
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
9️⃣ Slice and serve:
Once cooled, slice the bread and serve it warm or at room temperature.
