Ingredients
- For the pasta:
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For garnish:
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Additional turkey bacon, optional
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the pasta: Prepare the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté the aromatics: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3️⃣ Prepare the sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Add the cream cheese and ranch seasoning mix to the skillet, stirring until smooth and creamy.
4️⃣ Incorporate the liquids: Gradually pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly to ensure the sauce is smooth and well combined.
5️⃣ Mix in the protein and cheese: Add the shredded chicken, half of the chopped turkey bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and all ingredients are well incorporated.
6️⃣ Combine with pasta: Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy chicken mixture.
7️⃣ Serve and garnish: Transfer to a serving dish or plate. Top with the remaining turkey bacon and chopped parsley for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
