  • Author: Christophe

Description

This creamy, dreamy Crockpot Angel Chicken is a fuss-free recipe that brings comfort to the table with tender chicken in a rich, Italian-flavored sauce. Served over delicate angel hair pasta, it’s a perfect weeknight dinner that practically cooks itself!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Crockpot: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot in a single layer.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the Italian dressing mix, golden mushroom soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

3️⃣ Add Sauce to Crockpot: Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.

4️⃣ Cook: Cover and cook on the low setting for 4 to 5 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked through.

5️⃣ Cook the Pasta: About 15 minutes before the chicken is done, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

6️⃣ Serve: Plate the cooked angel hair pasta and top with a chicken breast and sauce from the crockpot. Spoon extra sauce over the pasta if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute for Golden Mushroom Soup: If unavailable, use cream of mushroom soup with a dash of Worcestershire sauce for a similar flavor.
  • Vegetable Addition: Add sliced mushrooms or a handful of spinach in the last hour of cooking for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until warmed through.
