Ingredients
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2️⃣ Cook the Garlic and Shrimp:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are just cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
3️⃣ Prepare the Gratin Mixture:
In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the cooked shrimp. Stir until evenly combined.
4️⃣ Assemble the Dish:
Transfer the shrimp mixture into a greased baking dish (a 9×9-inch glass dish works well). Spread it evenly.
5️⃣ Make the Topping:
In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the shrimp and cream mixture.
6️⃣ Bake the Gratin:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the gratin is bubbly and golden brown on top.
7️⃣ Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the dish sit for a few minutes to set. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
