Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Sauté the Onion:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
Cook the Ground Beef:
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Mix the Sauce:
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth, mixing well to combine.
Combine with Rice:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture with uncooked rice. Stir until evenly mixed.
Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
