This delicious old-fashioned american goulash delight is a fantastic dish that’s sure to impress. Made with (450 g) ground beef, 1 medium onion, and 2 cloves garlic, it combines great flavors and textures for a memorable meal.

- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup / 150 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz / 411 g) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups (480 ml) beef broth
- 1 ½ cups (200 g) elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup (115 g) shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, then drain any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then stir in the uncooked macaroni.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
- Top with cheddar cheese (or stir it in) until it melts, if using.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes to thicken, then serve warm.
