Description

This Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is a delicious, creamy twist on the classic sandwich. Packed with tender beef, sautéed veggies, and cheesy goodness, it’s a one-pan wonder that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or steak strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni recommended)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. 🍝

2️⃣ Sauté the Vegetables:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced green bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are softened and fragrant. 🫑🧅🧄

3️⃣ Cook the Meat:
Add the ground beef or steak strips to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 🥩

4️⃣ Combine Ingredients:
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Stir in the softened cream cheese and beef broth, mixing until a creamy sauce forms. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the sauce. 🍲

5️⃣ Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the pasta mixture. Place the skillet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown. 🧀

6️⃣ Serve:
Remove from the broiler, let cool slightly, and serve hot. Enjoy this creamy, cheesy Philly Cheesesteak Pasta! 😋

Notes

  • Meat Options: Use steak strips for a more traditional Philly cheesesteak flavor, or ground beef for convenience.
  • Cheese Choices: Provolone is classic, but you can also try mozzarella or American cheese for a slightly different twist.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of beef broth to keep it creamy.
