- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
For the Noodle Bake:
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Meatballs:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice, and nutmeg.
Mix until well combined, then shape into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).
2️⃣ Cook the Meatballs:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and fully cooked.
Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Gradually whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Add Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
4️⃣ Assemble the Noodle Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles and meatballs. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
5️⃣ Bake the Casserole:
Transfer the noodle and meatball mixture to a greased baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
6️⃣ Garnish and Serve:
Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
