Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 slices frozen garlic bread
- 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Follow the package instructions on the frozen garlic bread for preheating and baking.
Cook the ground beef: In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Once cooked, drain the fat and return the meat to the skillet.
Prepare the sloppy joe filling: Add the condensed tomato soup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion powder, salt, and garlic powder to the browned beef. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it simmer for a few minutes to thicken and combine flavors.
Bake the garlic bread: While the sloppy joe mixture simmers, bake the garlic bread slices as directed on the package.
Assemble the garlic bread sloppy joes: Once the garlic bread is ready, remove it from the oven. Top each slice with approximately ΒΌ to β
cup of the sloppy joe mixture.
Add cheese and melt: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded colby jack cheese on top of each piece of garlic bread. Return them to the oven for a few minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese.
Serve: Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy your cheesy garlic bread sloppy joes!
